Me too, sub_nouveau, Me too.
The horrows people/ men(?) put other people through....

Thinking of other peoples hardship tends to make you feel humble- at least, that is how it works for me-

I say nowadays; - i am good. there is no worry...compare to.others...
having a house, a income, caring friends, some family- enough healthy food... no worrys!

It is not self indulgence. It is simply being introspective.

It is all a matter of relativities! There are always people worse off eg iraq

Yes, we must be sympathetic but we are also human! We can indulge ourselves but, as you say, keep things in perspective!

You have a very effective set of coping mechanisms, one of which you've just described. You're not wallowing in self-pity. You're venting, which is very healthy in your case, because you know how to recognize it and right the ship.

I was doing the same thing the other day until I realized I was in a hole and remembered that the first rule of holes is to stop digging. You're well on your way to the second rule: start filling. In your case you fill with compassion.

Love you girl.

We all have our moments s_n. Be easy on yourself with that.

Though a little shot of perspective is just what we need sometimes. Onward and upward.

Perspective and empathy are always good. I think we could all benefit from both.

we all deserve those "woe is me" moments......embrace it and come out on the other side stronger and more determined

Everyone has those woe-is-me moments but it takes someone of true character to recognise, as you have done, that our own troubles are as nothing compared to many around us.

Don't beat yourself up; at least you recognise your good fortune.
