Never had long-term online relationship, but I would assume it should mirror a real life one with respect to what has been communicated ass expectations between the partners. If exclusivity or monogamy was promised then yes cheating and if lasting multiple times a week for a month or more then that should be the expectation unless both parties agree to a different arrangement. If a clear breakup occurred versus a mutual timeout or an agreed trial separation then not cheating. Communications is critical for any relationship and especially difficult for long distance ones. Since I don't know which is your situation to either comfort or criticize you, it is totally objective, Hope this helps...

Unless there was a promise of monogamy, there is no cheating. In an online "relationship", especially long distance ones, there is always a chance that one will meet someone local in real life circumstances believing that the online relationship may not result in a real meeting.

The long distance relationship may never result in a real meeting unless at least one of the parties is committed to doing so.

I really do not consider "on line" anything real, unless the parties have actually met. It is in a sense role play. MY observations over the years indicate such relationships are in an unbalances state where one part has more of an emotional connection which they consider real. That is why if they have had an on line commitment it usually falters once they actually meet.

I would not think of the situation you describe as cheating. However, if both parties had a commitment to be exclusive and had the expectation of taking it all to real tiime face to face, I suppose to many it would seem like cheating. It surely would make the first face to face meet p awkward if it occurred.

Here is a thought, BTW you are beautiful- if you want to "cheat" again you can find me here. But if he was to tell you the same story what would do or feel like. Cheating no mater what come from a lack of 100% commitment, if there is something missing on either part then that makes for the wandering and looking, there was something missing and you did not realize it till the next person came into your life. was the missing piece something you really valued or were thing getting "stale" stale from you side or stale from his side, you have to find out because it could happen again, and again. Still always wondered how someone like you couls have such a screwed up life trying to find the "right " person. wake up the right person has most likely already come into your life and left. now you are at the point the rest of us are, making the best of Ms or Mr right now, make the best of it and enjoy life. Would really like to chat with you more.

Is this like Jeremy Kyle?

Break = unpressured opportunity to re-evaluate a relationship
Breaks = time to call it quits

Whether you want to call it cheating or not, it was time to move on, especially if a person's belief in themselves carries more weight than their belief in their partner.

Not sure you can say your in a relationship when you have never been within three feet of each other. It is much easier to get things straight when you are both in the same room.

True rebels hate their own rebellion. They know by experience that it is not a cool and glamorous lifestyle; it takes a courageous fool to say things that have not been said and to do things that have not been done.

I can't believe you think it matters. Your online.. not married.. you can "fool around" with whomever you like. I have never.. NEVER.. seen accountability here and from what I understand, that isn't really what people want.

I think you're in the clear.
