Recently had first anniversary of my nephew passing and I had work keeping me busy that day too. In ways it helped me cope.

 I'm glad work proved to be a good distraction for you, such times are never easy, no matter how long it's been.
New Year's eve was the first anniversary for my mum so i took myself and my daughter to Dublin, i had to have a distraction and wanted to create happy memories with thoughts of my mum.

 Cancer is such a terrible thing that touches so many of us directly and indirectly. I hope you got through the day ok and can focus on the good memories of which I am sure there are many.
