Time to get back on the diet

About 9 months ago i had my work physical and passed it with ease...i lost 30lbs...lowered my bp..was down to about 173lb.

And nine months later i put it back on...

Im not ashamed that i slid back to this old weight...it took alot of sweat, pain and sacrifice to lose that weight in the first place...

And at this time i just didnt care..wasnt willing to live that healthy lifestyle

But as i close in on 50yrs old i know it is time to make that change.

I know evertime i stop off for a fatburger,it literally is pushing me closer to a heart attack.

I know vodka has been a good friend...but it is time to just say no

The same can be said of caffeine..i drink way too much diet soda...

I know what i need to eat..i just need to get it\ keep it handy and stop snacking.

I need to see this as a new way of life instead of just a fad..

Probably most important for me is to join a gym...ive never been gym guy because the cost..plus there was never enough running machines..and then you could only stay on so long before they kicked you off in peak hours.
I figured why pay when i could run in the streets for free....but i slacked off due to tge bitter cold winters in kc.

But pf has tons of machines\ open 24\7 and no time limit..i think i need to just join and run

Anyway this is just me venting..knowing i need to make a change

Best wishes. It isn't easy. To motivate myself, I just keep in mind that it's not going to be easier when I'm 40... 50... 60... Now is the easiest that change will ever come to you.

Well it honestly is harder to lose weight as you age.....
And there is no easy 20lbs that magically melts off a guy when he stops drinking.

Those 30lbs were literally a bitch to lose...10 lbs came off due to stopping of the fastfood\ snacking..but that was about it..the last twenty came off from running and limiting calories
