Melatonin

Just wondering if anyone has ever used it to help them sleep and what were your results.

I havent been getting deep sleep. Im not an alcoholic\ or drug user..but i find that alcohol does relax me some,\ gets me to sleep faster but doesnt deliver as promised. So i want to get off that bus.. i find one or two drinks to get me sleepy leads to 3+ easily.

Benedryl doesnt work for me...i have bad allergies and am used to popping them...it is to the point where i can take two and still be wide awake etc.
I dont get the drowsy side effects.

So i thought id try over the counter melatonin...i took like two pills..like 6 mg i think....and it didnt make me drowsy.. took about 4 hrs in to feel anything.
I didnt get sleepy...but found that i did have a deeper sleep that night.?

I didnt have side effects like not being able to wake up easily the next morn.

So it got me to wondering your results..im thinking i need to increase the doasage to maybe 10mg

Look into adding Magnesium to the Melatonin.
I do a 5mg Melatonin and a 500mg-1000mg Magnesium, some days I need the increased Magnesium. For me, it has to be taken about 1.5-2 hours before bed.
