h I would go with my gut reaction! As you say, she is vindictive! Do you want the stress all this would cause? A difficult choice.... A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny

No...were you coerced into the sexual relationship? You did pay a unfair price but seems his wife is just as responsible. Maybe tell her you have thought about it and you are going to have him file suit for you against her for insisting he fire you. Just joking. Walk away from all of it, It is past history now.

It isn't sexual harassment, but it does constitute unfair dismissal - you could correctly go for that, but it was probably time-limited. Sexual harassment, on the other hand, seems to have no statute of limitations - even the dead are not immune!

Situational convenience? When it worked to her advantage she insisted that her then-husband terminate your employment. Now she wants to use your (possibly) wrongful termination (which she insisted upon) to punish her ex-husband. Don't allow yourself to become a pawn in her game. You might even want to inform her that you will forward her message to her ex-husband. Let their attorneys sort out that mess. I remember now.

I, personally, would just stay away from the whole situation.

This woman is a chameleon.. In 3 encounters with you she showed 1) Vengence toward you, and a puppet in her play of manipulating her husband, 2) Vengence toward her husband and disregard of you, as all you would be is a puppet in her play of retaliation, then 3) The most insincere affection and concern for you as the play continues.. What color she will be in act 4 is hardly worth paying to discover; It'll be similarly self-involved.. This drama is not your doing.. Live a full rich life and people are in it, and they bring the drama.. Your story does belong to you.. If this future politician wants to buy an NDA, then that is your property to sell.. There is nothing untoward to doing so, provided, it in no way is coercive.. But, the negotiator should be you and the lawyer, without this volunteer involved.. He may indeed find it of great value to have confirmation that his behavior was never offensive to you.. I have asked women if I have ever done anything they found crossing the line; It is actually nice to have confirmation that you have not been offensive.. As one wonderful lady said: "of course not, I can handle you".. lol.. He might like having the facts in writing so there is never a fear of such allegations.. The price for such is determined in an honest, arm's length negotiation.. If his offer is inadequate, no contract is entered.. But there is always that beautiful gut that seems to have a fairly balanced view of the world..

Stay far far away from this woman and her schemes. She is pathological and it would be nothing but trouble for you.

Glad to hear that you went with the no. I agree with the others that she was trying to bring up old stuff to help her out in the long run. Ms. Jay bleash;
